About Me
Hey Beautiful Souls!
I’ve spent 30 years as a Registered Nurse… most of it in the fast pace of hospital acute care, and now in community case management, where I still work full-time today. I’ve held people’s hands through the hardest moments of their lives. I’ve also lived through some of my own.
I’m a widow. I raised my two daughters largely on my own. And I’m navigating autoimmune challenges that some days make it hard to just show up. So when I talk about resilience, it isn’t theory… it’s Tuesday.
Somewhere along the way, I got just as interested in what heals us outside a hospital as inside one… the small daily habits, the mindset shifts, the quiet decision to keep going and keep hoping even when it would be easier not to. That’s really why this space exists.
This isn’t a place with all the answers. It’s a place for women who are tired of holding it all together and want somewhere honest to land. If you’ve done the healing work and you’re still hurting, if you’re praying for something good to come but scared to be seen when it does… you’re not broken. You’re human. And you’re not doing this alone.
A little about the rest of me:
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outside…biking, traveling, beach combing, camera in hand, chips and salsa and a kombucha in one hand (though I won’t say no to a beer either). Vancouver Island is my paradise and home is Nanaimo, BC, with my two daughters, my cat, and my dog.
What I hope this space gives you:
Nothing flashy…just permission to feel what you feel, some things that actually helped me, and a reminder that your story isn’t over, no matter what chapter you’re in right now.
I’m still figuring a lot of this out myself. Let’s do it together…with honesty, heart, and more than a little humor.
💛 Glad you’re here.
